Spacewell Partners With Surge for Water on World Water Day
On World Water Day this year, we joined hands with Surge for Water to mark World Water Day. Across the globe, millions still wake up each morning without access to something many of us take for granted: safe, clean water. For communities in Indonesia, this daily struggle meant children spending less time in school, women with fewer hours to work and families facing health challenges that ripple through generations.
This year, thanks to your support, we became part of their story.
Through this campaign, more than 1,000 families across Indonesia were reached. For us at Spacewell, the impact felt closest in Ole Ate Village, where families now have safe water at home thanks to this initiative.

The impact went far beyond the filters themselves.
When Surge and their local partner YLRA visited, it was not only about distributing equipment. Families gathered to learn how to assemble the filters, how to clean them, and how to keep them working well over time.
What started as giving access to safe water became an opportunity for shared learning. Families gained both the filters and the knowledge to use and maintain them with confidence. This sense of involvement brought responsibility, independence, and the assurance that the change will continue to grow within their community.

Safe water has changed what daily life looks like
For children, it means more time for learning and playing instead of long walks to collect water. For women, it means freedom to focus on work, family or opportunities that were once out of reach. For families, it means better health, less worry and more energy for building stronger communities.
Looking Ahead
We are humbled to be part of this journey with Surge and the communities who welcomed us into their lives. This milestone reminds us that meaningful change often begins with small steps and grows stronger when people come together.
Spacewell remains committed to being part of this journey, with a focus on supporting initiatives that bring genuine value to people’s lives. This means working alongside partners who share the same care and responsibility toward communities.
Because in the end, real impact is not defined by what is built, but by the lives that grow stronger because of it.
