At the Design Middle East Awards 2025, our project, Unilever workspace was awarded Workspace Fit Out Project of the Year. For us at Spacewell, this recognition reflects the scale of the project, the level of coordination involved, and the collective effort behind delivering a 40,000 sq ft workplace that works in practice, not just on paper. The Design Middle East Awards 2025 recognise projects that demonstrate clarity in design intent and strength in execution. This award acknowledges the depth of collaboration and careful delivery that shaped the Unilever workspace from start to finish.

From the outset, this project was defined by alignment between all parties involved. The workspace was designed by SAY Studio and project managed by Seven, with Spacewell responsible for delivering the complete interior fit out. Clear roles, open coordination, and a shared understanding of the project goals allowed decisions to be made efficiently and issues to be resolved early. That level of collaboration shaped both the process and the final outcome.
Large scale workspaces bring a different set of challenges. Beyond timelines and logistics, consistency becomes critical. Every zone, detail, and interface needs to work as part of a larger

For Unilever, the brief focused on creating a workplace that supports collaboration, focus, and day to day functionality for a diverse team. Our role was to translate the design vision into a finished environment that feels cohesive across the entire project, while maintaining build quality at every stage. This required close coordination on site, careful sequencing of works, and attention to details that often go unnoticed but define how a space performs over time.

Awards like this highlight more than a finished space. They recognise the discipline behind the scenes, the coordination between teams, and the decisions made on site every day. Delivering a project of this scale successfully depends on experience, structure, and people who understand how to manage complexity without losing sight of the end user. This project reflects the way Spacewell approaches fit out delivery: clear processes, accountable teams, and a focus on getting the fundamentals right.
This award is a shared result. We would like to thank Unilever for the trust placed in the full project team, and to SAY Studio and Seven for the strong working relationship throughout the delivery. Projects of this scale succeed when everyone involved is aligned and committed to the same outcome.

We approach every project with a question: How can a workspace become a true extension of the brand? And just as importantly, how do we balance client requirements while ensuring the space remains functional and supports well-being.
